POLAND - Nancy Louise (Harklerode) Motsko, 88, passed away Friday, August 2nd at Masternick Memorial.
She was born Jan 31, 1936, the daughter of Mildred Gearhart Bobko and Lamar Harklerode and was also blessed to have a wonderful step-father, Michael Bobko.
Nancy was a 1953 graduate of South High School. Nancy began her work career at Islay's. Nancy was hired at General Electric where she met the love of her life and husband, Sam S. Motsko Sr.
Nancy and Sam were married May 16, 1959 and raised their 3 children; Kathy (Barry) Swoboda, John (Michelle) Motsko and Sam Motsko Jr. in Struthers.
Nancy was a stay-at-home mom working part-time at JoAnn Fabrics and Wittenauer Pharmacy retiring in 2000. Nancy and Sam built their dream home in 1984 in Poland where they spent their retirement years. Nancy loved her family, dancing and traveling with her husband and gardening.
Nancy was the proud grandmother of Michael (Chastine) Swoboda, Joey Swoboda (deceased) Sarah (Zachary) Landherr, Trevor (Alexandria) Motsko, Megan Motsko, and David Motsko. Nancy was the great grandmother of Mason Andrew Swoboda and Connor John Swoboda.
Nancy was preceded in death by her beloved brother, Howard Harklerode; her grandson, Joey Swoboda; her parents, Lamar Harklerode, Mildred Bobko and her step-father, Michael Bobko.
Family and friends may pay their respects from 10 - 10:45 AM Tuesday, August 6th at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church 2985 Center Road, Poland Ohio 44514, where a funeral service will follow at 11am.
Burial will take place at Poland Riverside Cemetery.
