Nancy Mousaw Obituary

Nancy Anne Mousaw
May 1, 2024
Nancy Anne Mousaw, a major extrovert, born on January 8, 1952, in Grand Rapids, Michigan, passed away to join her beloved husband Wayne, dogs Punky, Zippy, Bear, and Rocky on May 1, 2024. Nancy was predeceased by Wayne, her loving husband, who is probably already teasing her about being late to their reunion. She leaves behind a legacy cherished by her children: Joe of San Clemente, CA; David of Manlius; Michael (Karen) of North Syracuse; Robert (Kelly) of Fabius; Jessica LaSala of Pittsford, NY; Stephanie LaSala (Evan Costaldo) of Murrells Inlet, SC; and Mya, her beloved Yorkie. Her joy extended to her grandchildren: Maddy, Mikey, Olivianne, Michaela, Nathaniel, Beau, Grace, James, and Harry, who will surely miss painting with her and her bug juice. Nancy is also survived by her mother, Pat Fisher, of Dewitt, three sisters, step-brother, Buddy (Laurie) Fisher of Lafayette, and many nieces and nephews.
Nancy found solace and joy lying out in the sun, even during the winter. She ran along with Wayne, a pursuit that brought her both physical fitness and a sense of accomplishment. Whether participating in local races or enjoying leisurely jogs through the neighborhood, she embraced the freedom and exhilaration of the open road, occasionally stopping to chat with people along the way.
Nancy was an excellent seamstress. She produced many beautiful dresses for beautiful girls and ladies for their weddings and school proms. She also made Halloween costumes, such as Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. As a result of Nancy's talent, she taught her daughters how to sew, however their talents are nothing to write home about.
A private memorial will be held for close friends and family on Thursday May, 9, 2024, followed by a celebration at Heritage Hill in Pompey at 7pm.
