Well, folks, it seems that my rather unexpected exit stage left has left a Nancy-shaped hole in the world. I, Nancy Marian Mower, born on an unremarkably sunny day on April 8, 1950 in Ogden, UT, have decided to take a permanent vacation as of September 17, 2024. Now, don't you all go and fuss about it too much, I've had good innings and boy, have I lived! An April fool in the best sense of the word, I've always been a bit of a live wire - charismatic, creative, dedicated, and courageous (I did watch every episode of Shark Tank, after all..AND listened to all types of music).
In my time on this spinning globe, I've been a sales representative in the telecommunications sector until my retirement in 2014. But my real passion has always been my family, my faith, and my friends. I've resided in Taylorsville, Utah, but have also left a little bit of Nancy magic in Ogden and Midvale. And let's not forget that I was a dedicated member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. In that spirit, I leave you with a verse that speaks to my journey "Wherefore, ye must press forward with a steadfastness in Christ, having a perfect brightness of hope, and a love of God and of all men. Wherefore, if ye shall press forward, feasting upon the word of Christ, and endure to the end, behold, thus saith the Father: Ye shall have eternal life." (2 Nephi 31:20)
I'm survived by my son, Lance Mudrow, who's turned into quite a fine young man, and his fiancee Angie Quinonez. My daughter Kendra Dial Mudrow. And all my grandkids, you know who you are. I'm also joining up again with my parents, David and Florence Gunnerson, my brother, and my sisters, who've been waiting patiently in the wings, and "that's the winning ticket and the bees knees!"
Now, dear ones, remember me as I was - laughing, living, and always ready for a new adventure. In the spirit of our favorite family pastime, keep getting together and have family barbecues.
So, as I take my leave, why not visit my memorial page? Share a story or two about the times we've shared or upload a photo of a moment you remember. A memorial service will be held on Friday, September 27th from 4-6PM at Myers Mortuary in Ogden. 845 Washington Blvd. 84404.
Let's make this a celebration of a life well-lived and not a mourning of a life lost. After all, I'm just in the next room, playing a game of bowling. So remember, keep on rolling!
A special thank you to all my friends and family for being there for me!
