With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Roxane Jones, a vibrant and cherished soul, who left us on January 24, 2026 of a sudden and unexpected illness. Born on May 13, 1958, to L.P. and Lillie Jones in
Ogden, Utah, Roxane lived her life with a spirit that was as captivating as it was compassionate. A beacon of generosity and humor, her infectious laughter and warm heart left indelible marks on those fortunate enough to know her.
Roxane was a devoted and tireless Production Associate at Autoliv, where her diligence and work ethic were widely admired. Throughout her tenure, she received several certificates of achievement, a testament to her commitment and dedication. Yet, it was her personal life that truly defined her. Roxane was never happier than when she was in the kitchen, her culinary prowess matched only by her joy in sharing the results with loved ones. As the American author Ruth Reichl once said, "Pull up a chair. Take a taste. Come join us. Life is so endlessly delicious." This quote encapsulated Roxane's philosophy; she found delight not just in eating but in the act of cooking, a testament to her love for nurturing those around her.
Her love extended beyond the kitchen. Roxane was the epitome of a loving mother and a doting grandmother, weaving a tapestry of beautiful memories with her son Lapriest Jones and daughter Christene Jones, two handsome grandsons, Teshaun and Tristan Jones. She loved to dance, her movements a physical manifestation of the joy she carried within. She was also a beloved sister to Renae, Bruce, Denise, Melvin, Alcindor, Nicole, Kelee, and two half sisters, Brenda Holston and Hazel. She was preceded in death by her father and mother , L.P. and Lillie Jones, siblings, Clarence and Christine, a special nephew, Tre.
A Celebration of Life service will be held in Roxane's honor on Friday, February 6, 2026, at 11:00 am at Myers Mortuary, 845 Washington Boulevard,
Ogden, Utah. Prior to the service, family and friends are invited to gather for a time of remembrance at 10:00 am at the mortuary.
In remembering Roxane, we are reminded of the words of Maya Angelou, "I've learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel."
