Nancy L. Mummert

Nancy L. (Berkheimer) Mummert, 85 of Hanover passed away peacefully with her daughter, Lisa by her side at Homewood at Plum Creek on Saturday, November 25th. She was the beloved wife of the late Sterling W. Mummert who passed away on June 13, 2015.
Born February 24, 1938 in Hanover, she was a daughter of the late Paul and Carmen (Baugher) Berkheimer.
Mrs. Mummert was a long-time faithful member of Hanover Church of the Brethren. She dedicated much of her personal time volunteering to visit residents of local nursing homes, including participating in the Therapy Dog Program with her beloved dog, Pumpkin and volunteering with the local Visiting Nurses Association. She also volunteered with the PAL lunch program. In her free time, she especially cherished spending time at the beach in Ocean City, MD. Continuing her legacy of helping others, Nancy chose to donate her remains for research purposes to Humanity Gifts Registry.
Nancy is survived by two daughters: Lisa A. Mummert of Hanover and Rhonda L. Becker and her fiancé, Brandon Hippensteel of Millsboro, DE.; two siblings: Paul Berkheimer (husband of the late Phyllis) of Hanover and Sandra Weaver and husband, Steve of Hanover; her sister-in-law, Kimberly Berkheimer, as well as many loving nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two siblings: Gary Berkheimer and Galen Berkheimer.
