Pleasant Gap, Pennsylvania - Nancy A. Mutch, 69, of Pleasant Gap, passed away on Thursday, September 11, 2025, at Centre Care Nursing Home in Bellefonte. She was born on November 9, 1955, in Bellefonte, to the late Michael and Delores (Hannakan) Mutch.
Nancy was a 1973 graduate of Bellefonte Area High School. After graduating, Nancy attended Mount Aloysius Junior College receiving an associate's degree, Duquesne University receiving a bachelor's degree in nursing and a master's in nursing from Walden University.
Nancy loved her job as a registered nurse and as an emergency department nurse, it was not just a career but a true passion. She retired after 36 years of service at Mount Nittany Medical Center. Nancy cherished vacations, with the Caribbean holding a special place in her heart and treasured the time spent with her many friends and beloved family. She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Bellefonte.
Nancy is survived by her sister, Patricia Watson and her husband Jeffrey of Bellefonte, two nieces, Sarah Watson of Bellefonte and Kathryn Miller and her husband Robert of Pleasant Gap.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Centre Care Nursing Home, UPMC Hospice and Mount Nittany Medical Center doctors, nurses and staff, for the exceptional care and compassion shown during her final days. Their kindness and support will always be remembered with deep appreciation.
Friends and family will be received on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, at 10:00 am, at Wetzler Funeral Service, Inc. 206 N. Spring St, Bellefonte. A memorial service will begin at 11:00 am, at the funeral home with Deacon Tom Boldin officiating. Burial will be privately held at the convenience of the family.
Memorial contributions may be made in Nancy's memory to a charity of the donor's choice.
