Nancy Nelson Obituary
Nancy graduated from Ribault High School in 1971 and retired in 2018 as a Senior Financial Service Analyst with First Coast Service Options. She loved spending time with her family, serving in her church and reading.
Met the love of her life, Paul "Smiley" Nelson, married and had 3 children: Wesley Nelson (Christina), Kenny Nelson (Toni) and Amy Harper (Jeff); 10 grandchildren: Ethan Shepard, Aaron Narciso, Victoria Roberson (Michael), Isaac Harper, Kristin Nelson, Jacob Harper (Rose), Caleb Nelson (fiancé Breandra Trepanier), Priscilla Nelson (fiancé Joshua Benavides), Rebecca Brannon (Paul) and Joshua Gordon; 5 great grandchildren: Elias Narciso, Olivia Roberson, Brandon, Brooklyn and Branson Brannon; 2 brothers: Walton Campbell, Jr. and Bobby Campbell (Lynn) and a host of extended family and friends.
Celebration of life service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, January 20, 2026 at Peeples Funeral Home with Rev. Chris A. Coram officiating and Mr. Dave Strickland will offer the eulogy. Burial will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park. Her family will greet friends from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Tuesday at the funeral home.

Wesley, Kenny, and Amy, the service for your mother today was beautiful. She was a faithful servant of God who loved her family so much. I´m praying for you, your spouses and children, that Good would comfort your hearts and bring to mind beautiful memories.

Prayers for Nancy´s family during this time of such a great loss. I worked with Nancy at BCBS for many years and she was such a sweet person to work with. God has gained a great angel.

It was a pleasure to work with Nancy in North Jax Preschool every 3rd Sunday for the past few years. The preschoolers loved Ms. Nancy and she was great comforting those that needed it. She would help dress babydolls and read the same books over and over. I will miss her sweet smile and loving personality. Nancy absolutely loved her family. Loved showing pictures of the grandkids. Prayers for the family! She was indeed my friend; a very special person who loved serving God!
