Nancy Marie Nimmons Pendleton, South Carolina December 12, 1957 – August 21, 2021 The birthdate and the passing date are of small importance, but the DASH between the two is GREATLY important. Nancy Marie Nimmons of Pendleton, South Carolina passed away peacefully at her residence surrounded by her loving husband, Sam Nimmons, and loved ones on Saturday evening, August 21, 2021. She was 63 years old. Nancy was born on December 12, 1957, to the late Bill and Ruth Hendrix of Lafrance, SC. Nancy was the definition of grace and would do or give anything, for anyone. Although she experienced great heartbreak with the loss of her only child, Jerry Dale Nimmons, she built a beautiful, happy life with her husband and her dog, Piper. Nancy devoted 22 years to working at The Jewelry Outlet in Anderson, South Carolina and met many great people throughout her time there. Affectionately known as "Fancy Nancy," she loved shopping for antiques and quiet evenings with a glass of wine. She also loved to travel, especially if it was a trip with her husband across the country or for a girl's trip to the beach or the mountains. She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Sam Nimmons, her sister Vickie Burdette (Jimmy Head), her brother, Pete Hendrix, many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and close friends. In addition to her parents and beloved son, Nancy was preceded in death by her brother Mitchell (Bud) Hendrix. If possible, the family asks everyone to wear something red in honor of Nancy to the Funeral. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7:30 PM, Tuesday, August 24, 2021 at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM, Wednesday, August 25, 2021 in the chapel of Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home with burial to follow in Memory Gardens.
