Nancy L. Orrico of Madison, formerly of Chatham Township and then Wharton, passed away on July 12, 2025 at her home at Sunrise of Madison. She was 84.

Nancy was born and raised in Newark. She met her husband Charles while working at Western Electric. Once married, she and her husband Charlie began their life together in Scotch Plains before moving to Chatham Township, where they resided for over 5 decades raising their family. Later they moved to Wharton, before relocating to their current residence in Madison, where she spent her final days.

She returned to work after raising her children and was proud to be part of Ciba Geigy Pharmaceuticals later known as Novartis for many years until retirement.

Nancy enjoyed cooking, baking and having barbecues for family and friends and often made many homemade dishes from scratch. She enjoyed trying new restaurants with her husband and vacations in Wildwood Crest and taking cruises to various destinations.

She was the beloved wife for 64 years to Charles Orrico; loving mother of daughter Shelly Zanowicz and her husband Robert, son Robert Orrico, and her late daughter Pamela Orrico; and the devoted grandmother of Luke Zanowicz (Emma Osbourne), great grandmother of Caspian Zanowicz.

The family would like to thank Sunrise of Madison for their support and guidance during their time at the community for both their parents.

Nancy's Mass will be livestreamed on Saturday morning. Click here to livestream the funeral mass.
