Nancy Paulhus Obituary
Nancy K. Paulhus, 84, of Willimantic died peacefully at home on Friday August 15, 2025, surrounded by love and comfort, with family by her side. She was the daughter of the late Philip and Margaret (Hayes) Baker. She was predeceased by her sister Mary Ruszczyk of Monroe, CT.
Born on November 16, 1940, in Providence, RI she moved to Connecticut as a young girl and made her home in Windham Center. She graduated from Norwich Free Academy and attended Salve
Regina University for one year. She retired from the State of Connecticut, DMR as a Supervisor and was a strong advocate for the hearing impaired. She loved baseball and her Boston Redsox and vacations on Cape Cod, never missing an opportunity to have a good lobster dinner. She was an avid reader and unabashed Trekkie.
She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great- grandmother and is survived by four sons, Christopher and Kathleen Paulhus, Jonathan and Daisy Paulhus, Michael and Natalka Paulhus, Jeremy Paulhus and Kerri Manseau, and her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, all of whom carry on a lasting impression for caring and compassion for others.
Relatives and friends may visit on Friday Aug 22, from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. at Bacon Funeral Home 71 Prospect St, Willimantic. A Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Church 99 Jackson St, Willimantic. Burial will be Saturday Aug 23, at 11 a.m. at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Wellfleet, MA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Covenant Soup Kitchen 220 Valley St, Willimantic, CT 06226.
