Nancy "Carlson" Perkins

Nancy (Carlson) Perkins, 91, of the Briarwood Retirement Community in Worcester, formerly of Shrewsbury, passed away on Wednesday, September 10th, 2025. She was pre-deceased by her husband, Richard L. Perkins, who passed in 2011.

She leaves her daughter Cynthia N. Phillips and her husband James of Leicester, granddaughter Victoria Baril and her husband Nicholas of Leicester, brother Rodney Carlson and his wife Judy of Holden, and is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and close friends.

Nancy was raised in Holden where she graduated from Holden High School. She lived in New York City for a time for work but returned to Massachusetts where she met her future husband Dick while working as an Executive Secretary for Riley Stoker Corp. in Worcester. Nancy, Dick, and Cindy settled in Shrewsbury where they had a wonderful life together.

Nancy loved spending time with family and friends and cherished all events with them. She enjoyed traveling with her husband Dick, going on many trips all over the world. One of her favorites was their trip to the Canadian Rockies. Nancy loved weekly Saturday Scrabble games with friends, attending live musical performances, going to her favorite restaurants, and watching Chronicle every night. Nancy was a faithful member of the First Congregational Church in Shrewsbury where she enjoyed making many friends throughout the years.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Nancy's family from 11:00 AM-12 NOON on Friday, September 19, 2025, followed by a funeral service at 12 NOON at the BRITTON-SHREWSBURY FUNERAL HOME, 648, Main Street, Shrewsbury. Burial will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the First Congregational Church, Fellowship Fund, 19 Church Road, Shrewsbury, MA 01545.
