Obituary published on Legacy.com by Curlew Hills Memory Gardens Funeral Home on Jul. 7, 2025.
Nancy Helena Pinfield, a beacon of love, passed away peacefully on July 4, 2025, in Saint Petersburg, FL, due to heart failure. Born on June 11, 1932, in Plainfield, NJ, Nancy's life was a testament to her unwavering spirit and the joy she brought to all who knew her.
Nancy was a proud graduate of Plainfield High School, where she cultivated a passion for music and learning that would last a lifetime. Her career as a dedicated secretary spanned decades, providing support and organization first at Benson Bakery in Athens, GA, and later at Rutgers University in New Brunswick, NJ. Nancy's professionalism and warmth left a lasting impression on her colleagues.
Married to the late George W. Pinfield, Nancy was a true partner in every sense of the word. Together, they shared a love for travel, exploring the diverse landscapes of America. Their adventures continued into retirement with memorable trips to Ireland and Hawaii, creating cherished memories. Nancy's love for her family was the centerpiece of her life. She is survived by her loving children, Glenn Pinfield, Colleen O'Neill, and Matthew Pinfield. Her grandchildren, Jessica, Devin, Maya, and Ben will carry forward her legacy of kindness and humor.
Nancy's zest for life was evident in her many interests. She was an avid supporter of the arts, frequently attending high school productions, symphonies, choir, and jazz performances, reveling in the talent and passion of the performers. Her lifelong talent for playing the piano was a source of great joy and comfort, not just to her but to everyone who had the pleasure of listening. Nancy's musical gift was showcased at her own wedding, a cherished moment when she played the piano while her beloved George serenaded their guests.
Throughout her life, Nancy's intelligence shone brightly, guiding her through the complexities of life with grace and wit. Those who knew Nancy will remember her as a loving individual who could always be counted on for support, a kind word, or a heartfelt laugh.
Nancy touched the lives of many through her generosity of spirit and love of life. She will be deeply missed, but her legacy will live on in the hearts and minds of her family and friends. Nancy Helena Pinfield's memory will be forever cherished.(The draft text of this obituary was generated using artificial intelligence technology)
