Nancy H. Presson age 82 peacefully passed away on January 4, 2026
Services will be held privately at a later date.
She is preceded by her devoted husband, Landis A. Presson, son Shaan E. Stegall, Father W. Dempster Helms, Mother Kathleen T. Helms, brother Ronald "Butch" Helms, step grandson Christopher Plyer and great-granddaughter Makayla "Ms. Mikki" Woodard.
She is survived by son William "Mark" Ivey Jr. (Kara), daughters Lisa I. Johnson, Brandy Washington (Rob) stepchildren, Christie Plyer (Carter), and Nick Presson (Gretchen). She was a proud and loving grandmother to Chaddie, Cassie, Charli, Will, Martin, Kristin, Tabitha, Zack, Hannah, step grands, Lindsey, Andrew, and Amy. She has 13 great-grandchildren that will miss her dearly.
She graduated from Benton Heights High School, devoted employee at Charlotte Plastics for 40 years until retirement.
She was kind, loving, caring, selfless, strong-willed, and a fighter and would always help or care for someone in need. She will be remembered for the love and care she showed for others. She enjoyed racing, whether it be watching Nascar with Landis on TV or going down to the local dirt track and getting covered in red dirt. She would make baby blankets and bonnets for the new arrivals coming with each stich sewn by hand. Back in the day, you would find her at the skating rink, Bingo games with her mom, other family and friends, and they knew how to pick the winning cards. Traveling was an enjoyment to her, visiting the mountains or to the beach, and if she went to an amusement park with family and kids, she acted more like a child than the kids did.
Nancy will be remembered for the deep love she held for her family, the love and generosity she showed towards her friends. Her legacy of kindness and devotion will live on in the hearts of all who knew her and who loved her. She will be dearly missed. Holland Funeral Service is serving the Presson Family.
