Nancy Ellen Stoddard Hollister Reeser, 89, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 18, 2025. She was born on November 28, 1935, in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, to the late Warren James Stoddard Jr. and Anna Mary Ditzler.

Nancy was a proud graduate of St. Luke's Hospital School of Nursing, Class of 1956. She devoted her career to caring for others as a nurse in New York City; Norfolk, Virginia; and Monterey, California. After beginning a family of her own, Nancy embraced the role of homemaker, creating a warm and loving home while building cherished memories with her three sons.

As the wife of naval officer Floyd Hill Hollister, she lived in many places that held lasting meaning for her including San Diego, Honolulu, Washington, D.C., and Dallas. Later in life, Nancy pursued higher education at Dallas County Community College, graduating in 1985 before beginning a second career in healthcare management. In 1997, she married retired veterinarian Donald David Reeser, and together they made their home in Kernersville, North Carolina.

Nancy was an avid reader who continued learning throughout her lifetime. Delighting others with her witty sense of humor, she enjoyed socializing with friends and cherished her years at River Landing. She will be missed immensely by those who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald David Reeser; her brother, Warren James Stoddard III; her sister, Ruth Ann Stoddard Adubato; and her stepdaughter, Kathrine "Kathy" Reeser Glasser.

Nancy is survived by her three sons: James Kirk Hollister and his wife, Valarie, of Austin, Texas; William Howard Hollister and his wife, Molly, of Houston, Texas; and Robert Earl Hollister and his wife, Kristi, of Mooresville, North Carolina. She also leaves behind ten beloved grandchildren and two great-grandchildren: Angelica Lynn; Jacob Ryan and his wife, Taylor Evelyn, along with their children, Amelia Price and Luke Ryan; Juliet Anne; Katherine Elise; Sarah Marie; Andrew Stephen; Hunter James; Brock Harlan; Korinne Jean; and Kendal Shea Hollister.

She is also remembered by her stepchildren: David Reeser of Greensboro, North Carolina; Susan Reeser Bowling and her husband, Joe, of Chapel Hill, North Carolina; her stepson-in-law, Fred Glasser of Westerville, Ohio; her dear friend, Cheryl Crago; as well as numerous step-grandchildren and extended family.
