Nancy Riemar Obituary

Published by Legacy on Feb. 17, 2026.
Nancy Riemar, 86 of Marion, passed away peacefully at The Meadows of Marion, surrounded by her family, on Saturday, February 14, 2026. Nancy was born in Marion, Ohio to the late Joe & Maxine (Carmine) Northup on August 7, 1939. She graduated from Harding High School and married the love of her life, Richard (Dick) Riemar on June 20, 1957. She began keeping the books at Richard's family dump truck business, Riemar Trucking, and over the years, ran the business with him as a co-owner. As the years went by, they brought their son Ric into the business, which has continued to thrive. Nancy enjoyed cooking, but the greatest joy she found in the kitchen was teaching her grandchildren how to cook. Over the years and well into retirement, she enjoyed spending the summers at Indian Lake with her family. When the snow came in the winter, hopping on the snowmobile and riding always brought a smile to her face. Above all and in all the activities that she enjoyed, there is a profound love for God and her family that continues on.

Nancy will be dearly missed by her son, Ric (Amy) Riemar, her grandchildren, Amanda (Zach) Bryan, Tristan (Elizabeth) Schryer, Haley (Jordan) Walker; her great-grandchildren, Luke, Garner, River, Lainey and Rory; her brother, Jerry (Kay) Northup; as well as many extended family members and dear friends.

Nancy is reunited in Heaven with her husband, Richard and her parents.

Visitation will be held on Monday, February 23, 2026, from 11:00 AM until the time of her Funeral Service at 1:00 PM at the Marion First Church of the Nazarene, 233 W. Church St., Marion OH 43302 with Pastor Steven Estep officiating. Burial will follow at Marion Cemetery.
