Nancy Anna Rorie was born October 1, 1962 to the union of Joshua Rorie, Sr., and Arie Harris Rorie in Lilesville, NC.
Nancy received her formal education at Bowman Senior High School in Wadesboro, NC. She accepted Christ as her Savior at an early age at Henry Grove Missionary Baptist Church. She was employed by Little's Cotton Mill as a machine operator for 20 years.
In her leisure, she enjoyed fishing, yardwork, cooking and spending time with family and friends.
Nancy Anna Rorie departed this life on July 24, 2020 surrounded by her loving family. She was preceded in death by her parents: Joshua Rorie, Sr., and Arie H. Rorie; and two brothers: Joshua Rorie, Jr. and Charlie Thomas Rorie.
She leaves to cherish her memory: one daughter, Keyona Sturdivant (Marcus) of Raleigh, NC; one son, E'Learn Sturdivant (Bianca) of Wadesboro, NC; one extended son, Markee Sturdivant of Wadesboro, NC; five grandchildren: E'ljiah, Ethan, Essence, E'najih and Emmanuel; siblings: Dr. Marie Alridge of Washington, DC, Bertha Gaddy of Wadesboro, NC, Emma Gatewood (Clyde) of Charlotte, NC, Brenda Watson (Reginald) of Cheraw, SC, Mary F. Little (Alvin) of Morven, NC, John Lee Rorie (Juanita) of Morven, NC, Walter Rorie (Rosa) of Lilesville, NC, Rev. Charles Rorie of Lilesville, NC, Clarence Rorie (Barbara) of Charlotte, NC, Richard Rorie (Hannah) of Clarksville, TN, and Rev. George Rorie (Shelia) of Wadesboro, NC; two aunts: Annie Mae Harris of Washington, DC and Janie Harris of Lilesville, NC and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
