Nancy Lucille Salmieri

It is with great sorrow my family and I announce the passing of our beloved mother and nana, Nancy Lucille Salmieri, 80 of Clermont, Florida.

She is survived by her sons Frank William, 58 and John Joseph, 54 and her 4 grandchildren Dominick, Christopher, Kenneth, and Elizabeth, and her loving extended family. Nancy is predeceased by her parents Lucille (née Breslin) and John Bronson and her husband Francis ("Frank") Joseph Salmieri.

Nancy was married to Frank for 54 years before his untimely death in 2017. They were high school sweethearts, having met as freshmen in James Madison H.S. in Brooklyn, NY. Their life together officially began with their marriage on June 13, 1964.

Nancy had many jobs over the years. Her first job coincided with her amazing love of animals and was at the ASPCA which she did for several years before she moved on to her favorite job of being an amazing, giving, loving and generous mother. Years later when her children were older, she spent over two decades as a head teller at Citibank. In between all of this she was a hard-working Avon Sales Representative where she also excelled.

Nancy had numerous interests which included her love for music, animals (as exhibited by the many pets she cared for over her lifetime), bingo, cruising with family, nature walks in parks, bazaars, fine dining, and being her family's biggest cheerleader at our sports games.

Nancy was born in Brooklyn, NY where she stayed for 4 decades before moving to Staten Island, NY, then moved to Jacksonville, FL in 2005, and eventually to Clermont, FL in 2022 where she lived with her son John, her beloved daughter-in-law Meghan, and their children Kenny and Beth.

In her golden years Nancy was an amazing Nana, a job she loved and did with so much pride and affection. Simply put, she was the best.

Nancy, Mom, Nana, Sister, Aunt, or cousin were some of the many names she was known by, all of which she did with the same care, love, and affection. She will be terribly missed by all but her life and the memories we took from it will live on forever.
