It is with great love and gratitude that we remember the remarkable life of Nancy Sciturro (Van Daele), who passed away peacefully on October 23rd, 2025. Born on January 27, 1935, Nancy was a woman whose warmth, wit, and elegance left an impression on everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her.
She is reunited in heaven with her beloved husband Thomas, whom she married in 1955, her dear parents Irma and Joseph, and her loving siblings Joseph and Marcel.
Nancy leaves behind her devoted children - Susan (Marty), Linda (Tom), Bonnie (Paul), Debi (Karl), and Kim (Mike) - along with her adoring grandchildren, Courtney (Josh), Kristie, Adam (Heather), Kristen (Dave), Danielle, John, Amber, Becca (Kyle), Lauren, Karl, Alex (Michael), Thomas (Gina), Taylor (Jake), and great-grandchildren Gage, Isabelle, Addison, Madison, Mya, and Luka, all of whom brought her endless pride and joy.
Nancy had an incredible zest for life. She loved sewing, reading, dancing, photography, and above all, traveling - so much so that she visited all seven continents during her lifetime. She had a tireless work ethic, often holding three jobs at once. She was a dedicated bank teller, bookkeeper, and also helped manage her husband's business. No matter how busy life became, Nancy's energy and enthusiasm never wavered and she always made time for her family and friends.
Known for her impeccable sense of style, Nancy was always "dressed to the nines," her outfits perfectly matched and her jewelry shining as brightly as her personality. She loved to entertain, to make people laugh, and to fill a room with her vibrant spirit. She was a passionate collector of knickknacks - each one holding a story, a laugh, or a little piece of her heart.
Her favorite color was blue, a shade that reflected her calm yet confident soul. She also had an unshakable love for Christmas, often playing holiday music year-round, letting its joy and magic spill into every season.
Nancy's memory will live on in the hearts of all who loved her, and her presence will forever be felt in the laughter, warmth, and beauty she brought to the world.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association in Nancy's memory.
