"Nancy" Jane Barrett Sealock, age 82 of Decatur, Ga., beloved wife of the late Billy Joe Sealock, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 10, 2025 in Jasper, Ga. with her niece Janet Roper by her side. Nancy is celebrating with our Lord and Savior, parents Earl Franklin and Lee Clara Barrett, siblings, and nephew-in-law Randall Patterson. Nancy leaves behind, her son Richard, daughter-in-law- Lori, grandchildren Taylor (Crystal), Hannah, and a host of loving family and friends that will miss her infectious laughter and constant entertainment that she brought into every room that she entered. To know Nancy was to love her. Nancy loved sending cards; sometimes silly, sometimes inappropriate, to those she loved. She always kept us on our toes but most of all, she made sure that you knew that you were loved.
Nancy carried that same loving heart into what became her calling after being awarded a certificate of completion for "vocational-technical division" at DeKalb Community College in 1974. She then went on to serve 32 years plus as a "Nurse Tech" at both DeKalb Medical and Scottish Rite Children's Hospital. In July 1992, Nancy went on to receive a Certificate of Completion as a "Patient Care Technician". On September 30, 2025 Nancy Sealock received a "Certificate of Appreciation" for her hard work and invaluable contribution to Decatur Christian Towers, where she called home. She will be missed by many of her friends there and by those of us that knew her best.
To our beloved, "Mrs. Trouble"(Nancy), thank you so much for all of the love, laughter and wonderful memories that we will forever hold dear. We will miss you greatly but will rejoice in heaven when we are reunited once again.
Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at A.S. Turner and Sons, located at 2773 North Decatur Road, Decatur, GA 30033.
A funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m., with a brief graveside interment service to take place at Fairview Memorial Gardens, 164 Fairview Road, Stockbridge, GA 30281.
