Nancy Shands Obituary
Nancy was born October 16, 1946 in Saginaw, Michigan to the late Kenneth and Dorothy (Polin) Obendorfer. She grew up in Saginaw, Michigan and graduated from Arthur Hill high School with the class of 1964. On November 9, 1984 she married David Shands in Saginaw, Michigan. Prior to her retirement in 2006, Nancy worked for Delphi-Gm as an Assembly Worker with 30 years of service. She enjoyed gardening, making jewelry, and rummaging at thrift stores. Nancy loved traveling to Florida with her husband in the winters and hunting for seashells on the beach.
Surviving are: Husband, David Shands; Children, Raymond Fowler Jr., Kim (Lance) Mack, Todd Fowler, Marc (Bridget) Shands, David (Lisa) Shands II, Brian (Anna) Shands, Jonathan (Kristy) Shands; 19 Grandchildren; 12 Great Grandchildren; Siblings, JoAnn Doyle, Don (Jennifer) Ludwick, Ronald (Sharon) Minar; God-Daughter, Sandy Streets; Brother in law, Jim Simmons; several nieces and nephews. The family would like to give a Special "Thank You" to Elara Hospice. She was preceded in death by her Parents, Dorothy (Joseph) Minar, Kenneth Obendorfer; Son, Eric Shands; Siblings, Charles Gilman, Mary Dronitsky, Sherry Simmons.
