Debra Shands Obituary
She leaves behind her loving son and long-time caregiver, Bill Tatum. Debra is also survived by her siblings, Janice Parsons, Retha Moore, Donna Moody (Jeff), Kaye Redus (Mike), and Jeff Nix (Jamie), as well as many beloved nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Horace and Esther Nix, and her brothers, Mike Nix and Eddie Nix. Debra also leaves behind her two cherished "Bugs" (Boston Terrier/Pug mixes), Lil Man and Lil Bit, who were always by her side.
Debra retired from Jim Keras Automotive after 20 years of dedicated service in the Collections Department.
A service will be held at High Point Funeral Home, 3788 Summer Avenue, on Wednesday, December 3, at noon. The family will have a private visitation prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donation be made to Sunshine & Daisy Mobile Food Pantry or Streetdog Foundation.
