Nancy M. Shedeed, 68, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 25, 2025, surrounded by her family.

She was born in O'Neill, Nebraska, on October 23, 1956, to William (Bill) and Margaret (Peggy) Jansen.
Nancy graduated from Gordon High School in 1975. Shortly after, she met the love of her life, Jim Shedeed, and they were united in marriage on October 23, 1976.

Along with a partner for life, she was blessed with two daughters, Trina and Christy. Shortly after, the births of Amanda and Jeremy completed their family.
In addition to her role as a loving mother, Nancy worked as a secretary for many years before retiring. Afterward, Nancy and Jim moved to Angostura, where she spent her days enjoying the sunshine by the lake.

Being a Nana was the highlight of Nancy's life. She found immense joy in spending time with her children and grandchildren, as well as with many others she considered family, whether by blood or by bond. Nancy loved to meet new friends and cherished any opportunity to be with those she loved. Her passions included caring for her fur babies, cheering on the Nebraska Huskers in both football and volleyball, and traveling whenever she could.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Peggy Jansen, and her grandson, Trey Lamont. While the loss of these loved ones weighed heavily on her heart, she carried their memories with grace and resilience throughout her life.

She leaves behind a loving family who will carry her legacy forward with pride and affection: her husband of 48 years, Jim Shedeed; her children Trina (and children: Alissa, Dakota, Trey and Gio and grandchildren: Oliver, Vonte, Gemma and Ashlyn), Christy (and son: Nathan), Amanda (Brad and Children: Carson and Nolan), and Jeremy (Jolene and children: Tylee, Jayla and Aspyn); her siblings; Sue, Pat, Pam and Connie and many nieces and nephews; countless friends; and all those who were blessed to call her family - by blood or by bond.
Nancy will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
