Publish in a newspaper

Kimberly K. Deaver, age 71, of Hot Springs, South Dakota, passed away on October 5, 2025, at Regional West Medical Center in Scottsbluff, Nebraska.
Kim was born on March 20, 1954, in Gordon, Nebraska, to Donald and Lorainne Alexander. She attended Gordon schools, where she played the clarinet in the band and sang in the choir. Kim graduated from Gordon High School in 1972.
Following her calling to care for others, Kim pursued her education at the Methodist School of Nursing and the University of Omaha. In 1975, she completed a five-year program in just three years, earning her diploma in nursing and becoming a state-certified registered nurse-all while working at Methodist Hospital in Omaha.
In 1975, Kim married the love of her life, Dwight Lee Deaver of Martin, South Dakota, at the Methodist Church in Gordon. They honeymooned in Vail, Colorado, and went on to share 50 wonderful years of marriage. Together, they made their home in Idaho, where they raised three beloved children.
Kim lived her life guided by faith, family, and hard work. She was a loving mother, devoted nurse, and the heart of her family. Her hobbies included sewing (inspired by her great-aunt Addie), reading mystery novels, scrapbooking, quilting, fishing, camping, cheering on Husker sports ("Go Big Red!"), traveling-but never by plane-watching her favorite soap operas and game shows, and spending time with her family.
Kim was the guiding beacon of her family, giving her children strength to face life's challenges.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lorainne and Donald Alexander; her brother, Mark (Janice) Alexander; her nephew, Brian (Alexander) Gwynn; and her great-niece, Nora Alexander.
Kim is survived by her husband, Dwight Deaver; her children, Tess Hill, Brack (Erin) Deaver, and Kolton (Chelsie) Deaver; her grandchildren, Kaelin, Kirsten, Talon, Kaidon, and Kyson; and her siblings, Jeff (Cassi) Alexander, Marty (Lori) Alexander, and Kris (Chad) Fowler; and many nieces and nephews.
Kim's love, kindness, strength and laughter will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew her. Her family takes comfort in knowing that her legacy of compassion and care will never fade.
"Laughter is the best medicine" - Kim Deaver
