Nancy Ellen Shephard

Nancy Ellen Shephard, age 75, of the Life Care Center, Morehead, passed away Sunday, March 15, 2026, at UK–St. Claire HealthCare in Morehead.

Born December 1, 1950, in North Adams, Massachusetts, she was a daughter of the late George Shephard and Virginia Elmer Shephard. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Linda Shephard and Becky Lee Shephard; and one brother, Lawrence Shephard.

Nancy is survived by one son, Robert Shoestock, Jr., and one daughter, Amy Morin, both of Massachusetts; one brother, Ronald (Doreen) Shephard of Morehead, Kentucky; seven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Nancy lived in Massachusetts for the greater part of her life before moving to New Jersey, and later to Kentucky to be closer to her family. She was a graduate of Zion Bible Institute in Providence, Rhode Island. Nancy worked in a variety of ministries in the churches she attended throughout her life. She was also a former medical billing specialist while living in New Jersey.

Nancy attended Lakeview Community Church for a short time until her health declined. She was a loving, caring, and kind person who was always willing to help anyone in need as best she could. She also supported several ministries throughout her life that helped spread the gospel far and wide.

She will be greatly missed by her family, who take comfort in knowing they will reunite with her in heaven.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 21, 2026, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Pastor Eddie Dennison officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, March 20, 2026, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, 400 Fraley Drive, Morehead, Kentucky 40351.
