Nancy Shively Obituary
She was born on Oct. 12, 1919, in Eastbrook, PA, and was the daughter of the late John & Ida (Shaffer) Robinson.
Nancy married Charles E. Cornman on July 25, 1939. He passed away April 6, 1974. She later married Solomon Shively on March 7, 1981. He passed away on Aug. 15, 1995.
Mrs. Shively was a graduate of Eastbrook High School. She worked as a home aid for the PA Cooperative Extension Office. Nancy enjoyed flowers, sewing, playing piano and spending time with her family. She was a faithful member of Northminster Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include four daughters, Nancy Carol Reinhardt of Greenville, Anna Marie (David) Hilyard of Elizabethtown, Catherine Hilliard and Esther (Grantley) Richardson, both of New Castle; three sons, Charles Everett and Russell (Judy) Cornman both of Philadelphia, Allan (Caren) Cornman of Hamburg; 23 grandchildren, 50 great-grandchildren, and 24 great-great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husbands, Nancy was preceded in death by two sisters, Violet Alborn and Martha Shannon, four brothers, James, Clair, Allan and Ralph Robinson, a daughter-in-law, Barbara (Kurtz) Cornman, two sons-in-law, Robert Hilliard and Paul Reinhardt; two grandsons Terrence Peterson and Wes Fry Sr.; one granddaughter, Holly Richardson and one great grandson Wesley Fry Jr.
Visitation will be held on Mon. Feb. 2nd from 1:00 PM – 2:30 PM at Northminster Presbyterian Church, 2434 Wilmington Road, New Castle, PA 16105.
A funeral service will be held immediately following visitation at 2:30 PM, with Pastor Jordan Rimmer, officiating. A Celebration of Life service will be held in the spring to honor Nancy's life.
Burial will be at Castleview Memorial Gardens.
Memorial contributions may be offered to Northminster Presbyterian Church, 2434 Wilmington Road, New Castle, PA, 16105.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the R. Cunningham Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road, New Castle.
