Nancy Evelyn Sikes of Ellabell, Georgia, passed away on March 24, 2025 at the age of 81. She was born on February 4, 1944, in Collins, Georgia to William Grice Lynn and Rosa Lee Lynn. Nancy graduated from Collins High School in 1961.
Nancy married the love of her life, Henry 'Johnny' Sikes on March 19, 1962, and together, they built a beautiful life centered on their love for each other and their unwavering devotion to the Lord. Their bond was a testament to their shared faith, and they lived each day hand in hand, supporting one another in everything they did. Nancy's life was a reflection of God's love and grace. She was a woman who selflessly served others, always offering a kind word, a listening ear, and a helping hand to those in need. Nancy’s family was her heart, and she poured that love into everyone around her.
She is survived by her beloved husband Johnny Sikes; children David (Lorie) Sikes and Melanie (Jonathan) Morgan; daughter-in-law Lisa Sikes; grandchildren Kyle (Tana) Sikes, Shayla (Nathaniel) Asselin, Luke (Lauren) Morgan, and Victoria Benner; great-grandchildren Kaide Sikes, Kylan Sikes, Adalyn Asselin, and Eleanor Asselin.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, William Grice and Rosa Lee Lynn; her son Paul Sikes; in-laws Tommie Loyd and Alice Myrl Sikes; and siblings Bobbie Murphy, Merita Lewis, Jemimah Cowart, Calvin Lynn, and Allen Lynn.
The family will receive friends for a visitation on April 4, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM at Savannah Holy Church of God, 707 Little Neck Road, Savannah, Georgia 31419.
Burial will be held at 2:30 PM at Sunlight Cemetery in Cobbtown, Georgia.
Nancy’s legacy of love, kindness, and unwavering faith will continue to inspire all who knew her. Her heart was as big as her faith, and she will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
