Nancy Sue Taylor Smith, 71, of Roanoke Rapids passed away Thursday, December 4, 2025, at her home.
Nancy was born March 8, 1954 to the late Thurman Carl Taylor and Rachel Davis Taylor. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Kay Taylor Coggins.
Nancy attended Atlantic Christian College where she obtained her teaching degree. She taught school at Everette's Elementary School for over thirty years. While teaching Nancy also obtained her Master's Degree.
Nancy is survived by her husband Ronald Lewis Smith and her son, Jonathan Lewis Smith and his wife Dolores de Fatima Mori Flores Smith. Nancy also has many numerous nieces, and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, December 17, 2025 at New Hope United Methodist Church with Rev. Sue Owens officiating.
