Milton Lend Byrd, 94, of Littleton, NC passed away on Tuesday, January 20, 2026 in ECU North Hospital. Mr. Byrd was born on November 12, 1931, the son of the late Marie Mosely and Ralph Washington Byrd. He was also preceded in death by his son Donald Ray Byrd and his grandson Anthony B. Byrd and his granddaughter Jessica Byrd.
Surviving include his wife Louise Turner Byrd, his daughters: Anita Byrd Taylor (Jerry) of Holly Springs and Brenda Byrd Painter (Ray) of Belmont; his grandchildren: April Taylor Gumaer, Kevin Taylor, Charles Painter, and Christy Painter Orr, and his 9 great grandchildren.
A Graveside Service will be held at 12:00 PM on Saturday, February 7, 2026 at Cedarwood Cemetery in Roanoke Rapids, NC with Reverend Tom Tatum officiating. Friends may sign the online register by visiting www.hockadayfs.com.
