Nancy Ann (Richard) Spitler, age 90, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, Sept. 5, 2025.

She was born on April 11, 1935, near Creston to David and Carrie (Yoder) Richard and was a 1953 graduate of Sterling High School. Nancy attended Goshen College and Moody Bible College and had worked at many companies in the Wooster area as a secretary and bookkeeper. She retired from the Stark County Dept. of Human Services in Canton after 30 years of service and had made her home in Wooster, Canton and Waynesburg for many years. Nancy was a member of the Connection Church Assembly of God in Wooster.

Surviving is her brother and sister-in-law, Jay and Amy Richard of Wooster; nieces and nephew and their spouses, Cyndi and Tim McAleese, Holly and Jim Spurlock, Amy Lynn and Mark Dodez and David and Cindy Richard; great-nieces and great-nephews and many cousins in Wooster, Orrville, Sterling, Smithville and Mentor, OH and North Carolina, Michigan and Maine. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister and brother-in-law, Marjorie and Eugene Daugherty.

Graveside services for the family will be on Monday, Sept. 8th at Pleasant Hil Church Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Wellspring Hospice, 390r Oberlin Ave., Lorain, OH 44053 or Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, PO Box 426, Smithville, OH 44677. The family extends their sincere thanks to the staff of Smithville-Western Care Center and WellSpring Hospice for the wonderful care they gave to Nancy.
