NEWPORT - Nancy E. (Brandt) Stricker, 78, of Lemoyne, loving mother, grandmother,
great-grandmother, and sibling, passed away on Wednesday, November 12, 2025 at
Holy Spirit Hospital. Nancy was born on October 21, 1947 in Harrisburg to the late Earl
E. and Doris (Seeger) Brandt.
Surviving are her sons, Robert E. Stricker Brandt (Vivian) and Timothy E. Stricker;
granddaughters, Gweiling C. Brandt and Lillian A. Stricker; grandsons, Anthony M.
Stricker (Karlie), Nicholas M. Stricker, Taisan C. Brandt, Lewsan C. Brandt, Huangsan
C. Brandt, Tiensan C. Brandt, and Dawson L. Stricker; great-grandsons Lucas A.
Stricker and Leighton M. Stricker; brother Steven E. Brandt (Cheryl), Sista #2 Debra E.
Hockenberry (Steven), Sista #3 Trudy E. Gill (Gary), and Sista #4 Judy E. Miller (Dan);
as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her oldest son,
Michael J. Stricker.
She had many jobs over her lifespan, most notably spending considerable time at
Beachley-Hardy Seed Co and Sprint Nextel, where she worked nearly a decade and
earned the endearing nickname of "spicy Nancy." She also earned partial retirement by
working almost 9 years for the State of PA. Nancy was a 1965 graduate of Newport
High School and a member of Mt. Olivet Church of the Brethren. Her hobbies included
crafts, board games, cards, and backgammon, often played with her close friend Terry.
She had a deep love for animals, especially elephants and her beloved boxer dog,
Molly. Nancy was a travel enthusiast, having journeyed as far as Thailand, Nova Scotia,
and Alaska, and looked forward annually to a "Sista Trip" to Ocean City, Maryland. With
that, she had a love of the ocean, going on whale watching excursions, and was happy
to just listen to the waves crashing on the shore.

In accordance with her wishes, she will be cremated and scattered at sea during a
future ceremony, with attendance limited to family members. Arrangements for
cremation were made through David Myers Funeral Home, Newport, PA. A Celebration
of Life Ceremony will be held on December 28, 2025, with a soft start and greeting at
11AM at The Facktory, 101 Chestnut St., Liverpool, PA 17045. The service will be open
to family and friends of Nancy.
