Nancy L Strouse, 94, of Sylvania, OH, passed away on Sunday, March 23, 2025 at her home. Nancy was born on February 14, 1931 in Findlay, Ohio to William and Celia (Illian) Charles. She married Richard Strouse on December 31, 1953, and together raised three children.
Nancy graduated from Fostoria High School in 1949 (known as the 49ers) and attended Flower Hospital School of Nursing, receiving her RN degree. She worked for Flower Hospital as a newborn nursery nurse for over 40 years before retiring. Nancy enjoyed drinking coffee, tending to her flower garden and watching hockey, especially the Detroit Red Wings. She had a love for animals, especially horses.
Nancy is survived by her children, Mike (Danette) Strouse, Charles "Chuck" (Stacy) Strouse and Karen Strouse; 6 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister, Jan (Gerald) Burba, and brother, William (Mary Ellen) Charles.
Visitation will be at Reeb Funeral Home on Thursday, March 27, 2025 from 4pm until 8pm where the funeral service will be held on Friday. March 28, 2025, at 1pm. The family suggests donations to The Toledo Area Humane Society or Mobile Meals of Toledo.
