Walker Funeral Homes & Crematory - Toledo/Sylvania TownshipJudith "Judy" Lynn Smith (Crawford), age 69, of Toledo, Ohio, peacefully passed away at home on February 7, 2026.
Judy was born on March 28, 1956, in Toledo, Ohio, to Arlen "Vince" Crawford and Dorothy Crawford (Blevins). She grew up in Ottawa Lake, Michigan, and graduated from Whiteford High School. Judy dedicated more than twenty years of service to the City of Toledo, working in several administrative assistant roles within the Mayor's Office, the Police Department, and the Department of Neighborhoods. She concluded her city career in 2021.
On September 4, 1987, Judy married Robert Smith, and together they shared 38 years of marriage. Judy was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Michelle (Kyle) Warner; her son, Michael (Trisha) Nieman; her stepdaughter, Pam Smith; and her stepson, Jason Smith.
One of Judy's greatest joys was being a grandmother. Affectionately known as "Mimi," she proudly and endlessly spoke of her grandchildren to anyone who would listen. She is survived by her eight grandchildren-Taylor, Hunter, Chrisgen, Macie, Hannah, Jack, Mallory, and Braden-as well as four great-grandchildren. Judy treasured her family and after retirement, rarely missed an opportunity to attend their local events and milestones.
Judy is also survived by her brothers, Tom (Ann) Crawford and Gary Crawford; and her sisters, Deborah (Bob) Wischer and Tracy (Greg) Meyer. She was preceded in death by her parents, Vince and Dorothy Crawford, and her brother, Daniel Crawford.
Judy enjoyed creating flower arrangements, having lunch with friends, and sharing Sunday brunches after church with her daughter. Those who knew her will remember her strength, generosity, deep care for her family, and her love of an Olga.
A memorial service will be held following cremation on Wednesday, February 18, at noon, at Five Lakes Church, located at 4765 N. McCord Road, Sylvania, Ohio, with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. Family and friends are invited to attend and celebrate Judy's life.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a hospice of your choosing in Judy's memory.
