James "Jim" Henricks, 90, passed away peacefully on February 9, 2026. Known to friends as "Jimmy" or "Henman," Jim was a man of integrity and deep devotion to his friends and family.
Born on August 27, 1935, Jim was an only child who grew up with a passion for mechanics. After DeVilbiss High School, he served in the U.S. Air Force as a B-52 Bomber Crew Chief, later continuing his service in the Air National Guard. His military background shaped a lifelong work ethic that he carried into a 34-year career with Dana Corporation, where he excelled in various sales and leadership roles.
On February 4, 1961, Jim married the love of his life, Mary Ann Palmer. Their 65-year marriage was the foundation of his world. An avid outdoorsman, he loved hunting, fishing, golf, and sport shooting. He was a "tinkerer" who could fix almost anything and cherished his weekly lunches with his buddies. At home, he was happiest listening to jazz, reading a good book, or sharing a quiet moment with Mary Ann.
Jim's greatest pride was his family. He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann; his three sons and their families: Todd Henricks (Tim Grant); Scott Henricks (Patricia) and their sons Marcello, Phillip, and Lucas; and Gregg Henricks (Jennifer) and their daughters Jenna and Jorja. Jim will be remembered for his ability to fix any problem, and the deep love he held for his wife, sons, grandchildren and many friends.
Visitation will take place on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, from 10 am to 12 Noon at Walker Funeral Home, 5155 W. Sylvania Avenue, Toledo, OH, where the funeral service will begin at Noon. Entombment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the wonderful team at Hospice of Northwest Ohio for their deep compassion in Jim's final days.
