Nancy Teat Obituary
Nancy has lived the majority of her years in the Smyrna-Clayton area. Where she worked managing Clayton Court Mobile home Park for 35 years. She retired in June of 2017. She enjoyed crocheting and donating beautiful baby blankets to Bayhealth hospital for many years so the new born babies had a nice homemade blanket to go home in. She also enjoyed seek and find puzzles and playing computer games on her tablet.
In addition to her parents, Jay and Anna VanPelt, she was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Roy Teat Sr. Also her brothers Caroll and Jim and sisters Betty and Ethel.
Nancy is survived by her two sisters Marie Wheatley and Barbara Davis. As well as her children Walter Roy Teat Jr (Gladys), John (Jack) Wilson, Carole Jackson, Dawn Ransom (Jeff), Anissa Sprague (Matthew), grandson Walter Roy Teat III and great grandson Walter Roy (Budgy) Teat IV. And many nieces and nephews and extended family and friends.
A viewing will be held on Saturday, February 24, 2024 from 11 AM to 12 PM in the Faries Funeral Chapel, located at 29 S. Main Street in Smyrna. Funeral services will begin at 12 PM. Burial will be held privately on Monday, February 26, 2024 at Glenwood Cemetery in Smyrna.
