Nancy J. Tivey (Barnard), 74, passed away peacefully on February 5, 2026, in Concord, New Hampshire.

Born on September 7, 1951, in Laconia, New Hampshire, Nancy was the daughter of Lloyd and Natalie Barnard. She carried the values of her upbringing throughout her life—devotion to family, resilience in the face of challenges, and a deep sense of care for those around her.

Later in life, Nancy proudly returned to school at Middlesex Community College to earn a certificate in medical billing and coding. Her determination and commitment led her to work in that field for many years, where she applied her skills with diligence and pride.

Nancy’s greatest joy came from her family. She is survived by her three children: William Barnard and his wife Cheryl; Robert Tivey Jr. and his wife Paula; and Melissa (Tivey) Craig and her husband Brian. Her legacy continues through her beloved grandchildren—Will, David, Amanda, and Cody Barnard; Robert, Avianna, and Gavin Tivey—and great-grandchildren Natalia, Bella, and Adonis. Also, her nephew’s Chris, Colter and niece Leslie.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd and Natalie Barnard and her two Brothers Lloyd “Steven” Barnard and Spencer Barnard.

Nancy will be remembered most for the love she shared with her family and especially the special bond she held with her grandchildren. Her warmth and presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

May her memory bring comfort to those who knew and loved her.
