Robert Charles Tivey Jr.

Robert "Bob" Tivey passed away peacefully, surrounded by love, on December 17, 2025. He leaves behind a life defined by his devotion to family, his community, and the simple moments that meant the most to him.

Bob is survived by his wife, Jana; his sons, Benjamin R. Tivey (Cait) of Colorado and Jeffrey C. Tivey (Leanne) of South Yarmouth; and his grandchildren, Irelynn, Sienna, Paisley, and Michael, who brought him endless pride, joy, and smiles.

He is also survived by his brothers, Russell C. Tivey (Becky) of Tennessee and Ronald C. Tivey (Gail) of Barnstable, along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family members who were fortunate to know him.

Bob had a deep love for the water and spent countless happy hours boating and enjoying time on the shores of Sampson's Island. He never met a stranger-Bob could start a conversation with anyone and leave as friends. A devoted father, he was always present in his sons' lives, especially through youth hockey, where he proudly coached both boys and remained an enthusiastic member of the Barnstable Hockey organization. Giving back was important to Bob, and through his long-standing involvement with the Hyannis Rotary Club, he found meaningful ways to serve the community he loved.

Bob will be remembered most for his kindness, his steady presence, and the way he made people feel welcome. His legacy lives on in the family he loved so deeply and the many lives he touched along the way.

Bob will be cremated and laid to rest at the Holy Trinity Church Memorial Wall in Harwich. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
