In Loving Memory of Nancy Denise Wilder Trapp
May 6, 1957 – April 20, 2025
On Easter Sunday, April 20, 2025, Nancy Denise Wilder Trapp passed peacefully, surrounded by love. Born on May 6, 1957, Nancy lived a life defined by compassion, service, and unwavering strength. She was 67 years old.
Nancy was many things to many people — a loving mother, daughter, and sister, a devoted nurse, a gifted teacher, and a true friend. Her hands comforted countless patients during her career in nursing, offering both skill and warmth in their most vulnerable moments. Later, she channeled that same care into the classroom, mentoring future generations of nurses with patience, wisdom, and grace.
As a mother, Nancy was a constant source of encouragement and unconditional love. Her children and grandchildren were her greatest joy, and she poured her heart into raising them with kindness, resilience, and humor.
Nancy’s spirit was one of remarkable strength and unwavering faith often punctuated by her infectious and unmistakable laugh. That she left us on Easter Sunday feels deeply fitting — a day of hope, renewal, and peace. She had a way of making everyone around her feel seen and valued — a rare gift that defined all of her relationships. Her legacy lives on in the lives she touched and the love she gave so freely.
Nancy was preceded in death by her father, Thomas Wilder; sister, Anne Wilder McLemore; brother, Randal ‘Randy’ Wilder and husband, Terry Trapp.
She is survived by her mother Elizabeth ‘Beth’ Wilder; sister, Vicki Wilder Coulter; son, Thomas ‘Tommy’ Perkins and his wife, JoErin; her daughter, Jessica Perkins Elliott and her husband, Justin; her grandchildren, Shelby & Jett Elliott and Avalynn & Caroline Perkins; her large family, many friends, and the many lives forever changed by her presence.
