The visitation will be held from 12:00 P.M. until the time of service.
Rev. Kindrix was born on November 8, 1939, in Oak Grove, Louisiana and passed away on January 24, 2026, in West Monroe, Louisiana.
Roy lived his life with a shepherd’s heart. As a devoted pastor, he faithfully led congregations across many churches, always pointing people toward the love of God with humility, compassion, and unwavering conviction. His calling wasn’t just a role he filled it was the very essence of who he was. Every sermon, every prayer, every visit, every word of encouragement came from a deep well of faith and a genuine desire to serve.
He loved God with all his heart, and that love overflowed into every part of his life. His family was his greatest earthly blessing, and he cherished them with the same tenderness and devotion he showed his church families. Whether he was offering guidance, sharing laughter, or simply being present, Roy made sure the people he loved knew they mattered.
Outside the pulpit, Roy found joy in the quiet beauty of God’s creation. He loved taking his RV on camping trips, exploring new places, and soaking in the peace of the outdoors. Those trips became treasured memories moments of rest, reflection, and adventure that he shared with the people closest to him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Theodore and Marzella Peacock Kindrix; his son, Jackie Kindrix; brother, Gordon Kindrix; and his grandsons, Brandon and Mark Kindrix.
Those left to honor and cherish his memory are his wife of seventy years, Alene Kindrix; sons, Tony Kindrix and Steve Kindrix; nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren; and special friends, John Spurgeon and Jennifer Rainy.
