Mrs. Nancy Trivitte McHan, 92, of Advance, NC, passed away Tuesday, January 27, 2026, at Forsyth Medical Center.
She was born October 25, 1933, in Davie County, NC, to Henry Watson Trivitte and Lena Whitaker Trivitte.
Mrs. McHan retired from Aon following a long career in the insurance field. She was a faithful member of Macedonia Moravian Church where she enjoyed being a member of the Women’s Fellowship. She enjoyed gardening, spending time with her family, and spoiling everyone with her delicious cooking. Her cakes and pies were always highly sought after at the annual church bazaar.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Fred McHan; and her siblings, Pauline Smith, Grady Trivette, Bill Trivitte, JoAnn Hawks and Tommy Trivitte.
Surviving are two daughters, Christa Miller (Scott) and Michelle Moore (Michael); four grandchildren, Ben Miller, Madi Miller, Kayla Moore and Colby Moore; one brother, Harold Trivitte; and her “adopted” grandchildren, Adena and Kenneth Hockaday. The family would like to mention a special thanks to Nancy’s helpers, Donetta Jones, Charon Williams and Portia Greene.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at Macedonia Moravian Church. A funeral service will follow at 3:00 p.m. with Pastor David Jackson officiating. Interment will follow in the church graveyard.
Memorials may be made to Macedonia Moravian Church.
Hayworth-Miller Kinderton Chapel is serving the family.
