Nancy L. (Hinebaugh) Upole, age 81, of Oakland, passed away on Saturday, September 23, 2023, at Oakland Nursing and Rehabilitation Center with her family by her side. Born on June 9, 1942 in Deer Park, she was the daughter of the late Myrtle (King) and Albert Hinebaugh.
Nancy was a devoted mother and grandmother. Her most treasured moments were spent with family during camping and fishing trips in West Virginia. She enjoyed weekend picnics and time on spent on hiking trails, making important memories with Harold and her children. During more quiet times, she enjoyed watching western movies, the Golden Girls and game shows.
Nancy is survived by three children, Doug Upole, Tammy Upole, Rebecca Glotfelty and husband Tim, all of Oakland; grandchildren, Tyler Glotfelty and wife Bailey, Nicole Smith and husband Ian, Timothy Glotfelty and wife Emily, Michael Upole, Jr., Ashley Upole, Joshua Upole and Corey Upole; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by a son, Michael Upole, Sr; two sisters, Oma "Tillie" McCroskey and Betty Keyser; two brothers, Robert Hinebaugh and Elwdin "Tinker" Hinebaugh; and her former husband, Harold Upole.
Friends will be received at the C & S Fredlock Funeral Home, P.A., on Tuesday, September 26, 2023 from 4 to 8 PM. A funeral service will take place on Wednesday, September 27, 2023 at 11 AM with Pastor Sam Moon officiating. Interment will follow in the Deer Park Cemetery. Nancy's family would like to thank the staff of ONRC for the compassionate care shown to her during her brief stay.
