Nancy Ellen Vernon (nee Chappuis), passed away on April 22, 2025, at the age of 76.
Survived her beloved husband of 36 years, Keith Vernon; her devoted sons Matthew (Sarah) Nivens, Marc (Nicole) Nivens, Zachary (Mackenzie) Vernon; her treasured grandchildren Claire, Everly, Colin, Dax, Joshua, Tristan, Remi; her dear siblings Gene (Sandy) Chappuis. Preceded in death by her loving parents Gilbert and Laverne (nee Haag) Chappuis and her dear brother Gary Chappuis.
Nancy was as an avid Blues hockey fan and eagerly awaited every game. She enjoyed shopping, especially browsing Amazon for various sales and items. Nancy found personal fulfillment in working at her family’s business, South County Cyclery. When Nancy had the opportunity, she loved to unwind at the lake and appreciate the natural beauty around her.
Nancy’s legacy of love and joy will be carried on in the hearts of those who were blessed with her warmth. She will be deeply missed.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The National Scoliosis Foundation in Nancy’s honor.
A memorial visitation for Nancy will be held on Wednesday April 30, 2025, from 2 pm until 4 pm, with a prayer service to follow at 4 pm at John L. Ziegenhein & Sons South County Chapel, located at 4830 Lemay Ferry Rd, St. Louis, MO, 63129.
