Nancy Griffith (Stump) Wahl, 96, of North Huntington, PA, passed away on September 14, 2025. Born in Reading, PA, on May 4, 1929, Nancy was the daughter of Earle Gilbert Stump and Fern (Griffith) Stump. She was predeceased by her husband William Frederick Wahl Jr. (Bill) in 2016, twin brother David Griffith Stump and brother John Calvin Stump. She is survived by her sister Dr. Ann Stump Picker of Lincoln, CA, children Barb (George) Dietz of Pittsburgh, PA, Kim (Larry) Watson of Bumpass, VA, Karen (Tom) Simpson of Bedford, PA, and Rick (Sandy) Wahl of North Huntingdon, PA, seven grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Nancy had a passion for lifelong learning and an inspirational determination to achieve excellence in everything she pursued. She graduated from Mount Penn High School in Reading, PA, received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Home Economics from Albright College and earned a Master's Degree in Elementary Education from the University of Pittsburgh. When she retired from a long and rewarding career in the Norwin School District (1952-1991), Nancy was a 6th grade teacher at Stewartsville Elementary School and was the District's coordinator for both the elementary gifted and elementary math programs. Bill and Nancy enjoyed their retirement years in Naples, FL. They moved back to North Huntingdon, PA in 2015 to reside at Redstone Highlands Senior Living Community. Nancy was a member of DAR and the First Presbyterian Church of Irwin. She was a charter member of the Norwin Aqua Club and the Serro Scotty Trailer Club. She loved teaching, camping, sewing, knitting, cooking, world-wide travel and sports. As a lifelong athlete, she was swimming at age 90, despite a severe stroke at age 81. There will be no visitation. The family will have a private service at Charles Evans Cemetery, Reading, PA. Arrangements handled by the William Snyder Funeral Home, 521 Main Street, Irwin, 724-863-1200.
