Nancy M. Watts, known fondly as Nancy Milagros Perez Santiago, was born in Yauco, Puerto Rico on April 9, 1962. Her journey of life was imbued with compassion, dedication, love, and generosity, qualities that etched themselves deeply onto the lives of those fortunate enough to have known her. Nancy was a beacon of warmth and kindness, her vibrant aura gracing the world until May 16, 2024.
Nancy was a devoted worker at Harvey Industries, where she excelled as an assembler. Her work ethic was second to none, and her dedication was unwavering. However, it was not just her professional life that showcased her relentless spirit. Nancy found joy in the simple pleasures of life, like playing games on the computer. But her heart's truest passion was her family, whom she cherished above all. Her home was an open sanctuary, a haven for those in need of comfort, warmth, and safety. Her generosity was limitless, her heart, boundless. As American author Maya Angelou once said, "I've learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel." Nancy's legacy lives on in the hearts she touched and the lives she changed.
Nancy is survived by a loving family who will forever cherish her memory: her husband, Richard Watts; her sons, Richard Jr., Tyrone Watts, and stepson Michael Henderson; her grandchildren, Stephon Henderson, Michael Jr, Michaelah, and Johanna; her siblings Elba Rodriguez, Aida Vega, Angel Perez, Sonia Manchester, Jesús Perez, and Arcadio Perez; and her niece, Jazmin Velazquez. She was preceded in death by her parents, Arcadio and Virginia Perez.
A viewing for Nancy M. Watts will be held on Friday, May 31, 2024, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, at Puerta Del Cielo® Funeral Home, located at 730 State Street, Springfield, Massachusetts, 01109.
