Nancy Gail Whitehurst, aged 73, passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, August, 23, 2025 with her family by her side. Born February 23, 1952 she was the only daughter of the late Glen and Jean Whitehurst of Virginia Beach. Nancy is survived by her loving and devoted partner, James Lane, children; Nicole Fairchild Glocker, Colby Glen Fairchild, and Amber Gail Shipp, as well as eight grandchildren, Kayla Dawn Normand (Spencer), Paul David Glocker, Jr., Parker James-Kennedy Reese, Emma Jean Glocker, Cole Phillip Glocker, Elli-Paige Ann Fairchild, Maci Gail Glocker, and Hunter Jane Shipp.

Nancy was born in Virginia Beach and spent her youth growing up in Shadowlawn, Much of her time was spent at the Virginia Beach oceanfront and boardwalk, creating colorful stories and memories. Nancy's tales of her young adulthood, shared by friends, provided lots of laughs and comfort to her family in her final days. Nancy spent nearly every summer day at the south end of the beach with her children. Later in life she was a doting and loving "Mimi", to her eight grandchildren. James and Nancy have a beloved cockapoo, Quigley, who never left her side.

In honor of Nancy, the family will hold a Celebration of Life on Sunday September 21st at 1pm at the Crossings of Red Mill Clubhouse, please join us. The family wishes to extend a huge thank you to Harmony Hospice and the nurses who provided comfort and support over the past few months.
