Nancy Wilson, born on November 5, 1943, in the charming city of Fall River, Massachusetts, passed away on October 13, 2024 in Orlando, Florida, after a brief illness, leaving behind a legacy filled with love and warmth. Her journey through life was marked by dedication and a deep connection to her family and friends, set against the backdrop of her esteemed career as a legal secretary.
Nancy's heart was filled with unbounded affection, especially for her beloved family. She is survived by Karla Wilson, Bob's wife, and Chris Smith, Patti's husband; her cherished grandchildren: Chris Smith, Jr. and his wife Tammy; Kim Lennon and her husband, Bill; Rob Smith and his wife, Laurie; Brad Wilson; and Evan Wilson and his wife, Julie. Additionally, she took immense joy in the company of her many great-grandchildren, whose laughter and energy brought her immeasurable delight.
She was preceded in death by her devoted parents, Joseph O. Silvia and Herondina "Rudie" (Terceira) Silvia, who instilled in her the values of hard work and love of family; her loving husband, Oscar Wilson to whom she was married for 45 years; and her brother, Tom Silvia, with whom she shared countless memories; her step-son, Bob Wilson, and her step-daughter, Patti Smith.
Nancy’s life was more than just a timeline of events; it was a celebration of the simple pleasures that brought her joy. She relished the art of shopping, the sweetness of lunch with friends, and the tranquil moments spent walking her beloved dog, Gracie. She was a deep and devout lover of the teaching of Jesus Christ and was a faithful member of Aloma Church for many years, leading many to share her love of the Lord.
In remembrance of Nancy's beautiful spirit, a memorial service will be held at Aloma Church in Winter Park, Florida, on October 17, 2024, starting at 2:00 pm. As family and friends gather to honor her legacy, they will undoubtedly share stories and reminisce about a remarkable woman who touched the lives of many.
Nancy Wilson's absence will be profoundly felt, yet her joyous spirit and the love she cultivated will forever resonate in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
