Service for Nancy Witte, 83, of Cleburne will be conducted at 10:00 A.M., Friday, October 18, 2024 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Reverend Melissa McDuffee Beal will officiate. Burial will follow in Greenacres Memorial Park. The family has no set hours in which they will be at the funeral home to greet guests. However, those wishing to pay their respects and sign the register may do so on Thursday, October 17, 2024 from 9:00 A.M.-4:00 P.M., at the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Funeral Home.
Nancy passed away October 11, 2024 in Cleburne. She was born August 9, 1941 in Hamilton, Texas. Nancy married Leonard Melvin Witte on March 14, 1964 in Hamilton. She was a member of First United Methodist Church Cleburne. She enjoyed her church and Sunday School Class. Nancy enjoyed tending to her flowers, shopping and giving gifts. She was a great cook, known for her Cherry O Cream Pie, delicious Pot Roast and Hot Water Cornbread. She was “Nanny” to her grandchildren and loved to attend all their events. Nancy fiercely loved her family.
Nancy is survived by her son, Mike Witte and wife, Amber; daughter, Michelle Millsaps and husband, Dan; grandchildren, Logan Millsaps, Morgan Slotman, Jacob Witte, Dylan Witte, and Grayson Witte; great-grandchildren, Easton Millsaps, Ellie Millsaps and Esther Slotman; numerous, brothers and sisters-in law, nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends; including cousins, Curtis Cleveland and Carol Kuehl and their families.
Nancy is preceded in death by her parents; Joe Otho and Fannie Augusta (Arnett) Cleveland; and her husband, Leonard Witte.
Memorial donations may be made in Nancy’s name to the Leonard Witte Memorial Scholarship at First United Methodist Church Cleburne.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all who cared for Nancy and the family throughout their journey, especially to Tina Lamb, Heritage Trails Nursing Home and Wings Over Texas Hospice.
