Nancy Jo Wolfe, 82, passed away Monday, February 23, 2026. A woman of deep faith, generous spirit, and joyful energy, Nancy lived a life centered on family, service, and fellowship.
She was born October 26, 1943 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Luther and Dorothy (Ryland) Muth.
Nancy graduated from Madison College in 1965 with a Bachelor Degree in Education, she was school teacher in Memphis , TN., before moving to Marion where she worked several years at GTE/Verizon before retiring.
On June 24, 1966 she married the love of her life, Paul Wolfe. They met on a blind date and shared 59 wonderful, loving years together.
Nancy was a devoted and active member of First Presbyterian Church, where her presence was felt in countless ways. She faithfully served as a Deacon, offering compassion and support to those in need, and shared her love of music as a dedicated member of the church's Bell Choir. Her commitment to helping others extended beyond the church walls through her volunteer work with Meals on Wheels, delivering not just meals but warm smiles and heartfelt conversations to many in the community.
Nancy had a gift for bringing people together. She loved crafting and could often be found working on creative projects that she generously shared with friends and family. She was an enthusiastic bridge player and a proud member of several card clubs, treasuring the laughter and camaraderie those gatherings brought. She played the flute for many years in the Marian Concert Band. Alongside her beloved husband, she was also an active member of a local Packard club, enjoying car shows and events where they proudly showcased their cherished Packard and formed lasting friendships with fellow enthusiasts. As recently as this Valentine's Day Nancy attended the annual luncheon.
Above all, Nancy's greatest joy was her family. She adored spending time with her children and grandchildren, attending their activities, celebrating milestones, and creating traditions they will carry forward. Her kitchen was often filled with the comforting aromas of home-cooked meals enjoyed by family and friends.
She is survived and will be greatly missed by her husband, Dr. K Paul Wolfe of Waldo, her children, Matt (Tamara) Wolfe of Marion, Stacey (Bob) Fiske of Delaware, her grandchildren, Jordan Fiske, Gabrielle Fiske, Zachariah Wolfe, Heather Miller, Christian Carpenter, her nieces and nephews Elyse (Kevin) Lewis, Craig (Nena) Muth, Kathy (Dana) Durham, Ken Wolfe and numerous friends.
Nancy will be remembered for her unwavering faith, her servant's heart, her lively spirit, and the deep love she had for her family and friends. Her legacy lives on in the many lives she touched through kindness, music, service, and love.
She leaves behind a family who will forever cherish her memory and strive to honor the beautiful example she set.
A Celebration of Nancy's Life will be held at First Presbyterian Church, 143 S. Prospect St. Marion, Ohio. Details will be made final soon.
