Nancy Fay Wyatt, a beloved wife, mother, and sister, age 66 of Clayton, DE, went to be with the Lord unexpectedly on June 27, 2025, at her home. Born on November 18, 1958, in Dover, DE, to the late Ethel and James B. Read. She was a graduate of Middletown High School and Delaware Technical & Community College.
Nancy enjoyed traveling with her husband, taking pictures of anyone or anything, going to her quilting class, doing her genealogy, visiting friends and family, attending church events, and taking walks outside around the tree nursery. But one of her greatest enjoyments was when she became a mom-mom. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and getting to see all their accomplishments, which she was very proud of.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Elizabeth; her parents, Ethel and James B. Read; stepfather, T. Edwin Meredith; sister and brother-in-law, Barbara and David Wagaman.
She survived by her husband of 47 years, Patrick Wyatt, Sr; her sons, Patrick "JR" (Valerie) and Nicholas (Kristie); her five grandchildren: Peyton Wyatt, Patrick "Aiden" Wyatt, Victoria "Gracie" Pedigo, Aubrianna "Aubrey" Pedigo, Paisley Wyatt; and her siblings Jane (Reece) Guessford, Mary (Jeffrey) Hobson, Ethel (Tim) Harmon, and Mark Read. She also leaves behind many family members and friends whom she loved very much.
She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation and memorial service at the Townsend Church on Saturday, July 12, 2025, starting at 1pm.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to the Townsend Church, 4519 Dupont Pkwy, Townsend DE 19734, or Barclay Assembly of God, 111 Busic Church Rd, Barclay, MD 21607 in her honor.
