Nanette Esther Bode, 87, of Fox River Grove, passed away peacefully on April 6, 2024. She was born on November 29, 1936 in Chicago, IL to the late Junius and Ruth Kemmler.

Nanette loved Jesus, Her Lord and Savior, and was a prayer warrior. She cherished her family, her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
After raising her children, Nanette went back to school and became a Registered Nurse.
She enjoyed the outdoors, dogs, knitting and crafting.

She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Nanette will be deeply missed by her cherished children, Keith (Pam) Nelson, June (Tom) Stroner, Ken (Angela) Nelson, Jennifer (Dale) Kleba; grandchildren, Lauren (Cory) Williams, Eric (Becca) Nelson, Christopher (Sierra) and Kyle (Gretchen) Stroner, Kenny, Conner and Cooper Nelson, Bradley (Jillian) Kleba, Rachel (Caleb) Tracy and Kelsey (Henry) Jensen; Great-grandchildren, Mackenzie, Madison, Wesley, Willem, Grace, Hadessah, Everett, Henry, Sariah, Jaxson, Creadon, Lincoln and one on the way; her siblings, Arlene (the late Wes) Nelson and Chuck (Marlene) Kemmler.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 20 years, Dale R. Bode.

Visitation for Nanette will be held on Saturday, April 13, 2024 from 10 AM until the time of her service at 11 AM at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 419 E. Terra Cotta Ave., Crystal Lake. Burial will follow at Windridge Memorial Park, Cary, IL.

Memorial donations may be made in Nanette's name to the Moody Bible Church, www.moodychurch.org.
