Napoleon Claude Coles, beloved son of the late Leon Coles and Mae Carter Coles, was born on April 9, 1948 in Painter, Virginia. He departed this life on October 21, 2024 in Painter, Virginia.
Napoleon, affectionately known as "Polie," was a graduate of Blue Stone High School. Upon graduation, he entered the United States Marine Corp. He served his country for three years and ten months, before he was honorable discharged. Napoleon was employed in many industries throughout his life. His last place of employment was at Food Lion.
Napoleon was a member of Rocky Mount Baptist Church in Skipwith, Virginia. In his spare time, he enjoyed anything dealing with cars and trucks.
In addition to his parents, grandparents, and several aunts and uncles, he was preceded in death by his wife, Linda J. Coles.
He leaves to cherish his loving memories his sisters, Imelda Lawson (Arthur) of Exmore, VA and Debbie Shepperson (LJ) of Richmond, VA; brothers, Brian Wilcox of Nashville, TN, Bruce Wilcox of NY, Dale Norwood (Judy), and Steve Thompson, both of Poughkeepsie, NY; aunt, Geneva Wilson; special friend, Torey Duffy "Snow;" and a host of other relatives and friends.
